Card bending uses the same principle as card marking. In card bending, the cheater marks the card by folding it. It is a common cheat among players. To safeguard against this cheat, the guard will check the cards to make sure they are in good condition. Card bending may be the earliest form of cheating in blackjack. It was devised much earlier than other methods such as inks, scratches and etc. Many magicians also use this kind of tactic while performing in their shows.
